Refrigerator testing laboratory (RTL) is equipped with state of art walk in environmental test chamber and data acquisition system with dedicated software package for measurements of test data and analysis of results. The facility has testing of four refrigerators at one go independently. The lab is NABL Accredited   as per IS/ISO/IEC 17025 standard. The lab under takes testing of domestic type frost free refrigerators and direct cool refrigerators of volume up to 1000 litre as per IS 15750:2006 RA (2017) and  IS 1476  (PART-1) : 2000 RA (2016) respectively and under takes energy consumption test, pull down test and rated volume measurement test.  CPRI is recognized by BEE as the only government check testing laboratory for star and labelling programme.

CPRI also under takes testing of domestic type frost free refrigerators and direct cool refrigerators refrigerator as per national and international standards and as per customer requirements

• The laboratory is being augmented with environmental test chamber to accommodate six refrigerators at a time.
