Energy Meter test laboratory of CPRI, Hyderabad has state of the art high precision test facilities for carrying out Routine Tests, Acceptance Tests and DLMS compliance tests as per National and International Standards.

The following tests can be carried out.

  • Tests of Insulation Properties as per National and International Standards.
  • Tests of Accuracy Requirements as per National and International Standards.
  • Tests of Electrical requirement as per National and International Standards.
  • Tests of Climatic requirement.
  • Verification / tamper simulation as per Tender specifications of utilities.

Test facilities for Smart meters:

  • DLMS/ COSEM open protocol Testing and Certification of Static and Smart Energy Meters for Conformance to IEC 62056.
  • IS 15959 (Part 2): 2016 – Data Exchange for Electricity meter reading, tariff & Load control – Companion Specification (Part 2 Smart Meter)
  • IS 15959 (Part 3): 2017 – Data Exchange for Electricity meter reading, tariff & Load control – Companion Specification (Part 3 Smart Meter – Transformer Operated kWh and kVARh, Class 0.2S, 0.5S and 1.0S)
