Motor Test Laboratory

 

In response to the growing industry demand for a dedicated test facility for induction motors, CPRI has established a state-of-the-art testing laboratory for evaluating 415 V, three-phase induction motors up to 55 kW. This advanced facility ensures compliance with Indian and international standards, delivering accurate and reliable performance assessments.

Testing is conducted as per IS 12615, which aligns with the methodologies outlined in IS 15999 (Part 1) / IEC 60034 (Part 1) and IS 15999 (Part 2, Section 1) / IEC 60034 (Part 2, Section 1). These standards define the efficiency classification and performance parameters for energy-efficient motors, ensuring that manufacturers and end-users receive certified, high-quality products.

Designed with cutting-edge automation, the facility significantly reduces testing duration while maintaining high precision and repeatability. This enables faster turnaround times for customers, meeting industry needs with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
