Brief Description about the facility:

Lighting, no matter interior or exterior, has its own importance in our daily life as it aids one of the most unique sensation, vision. With introduction of low power LEDs, lighting industry has had a face shift from usage of conventional lamps to intelligent lighting. CPRI has exclusive test facilities for LED lighting to assure the quality, quantity as well as safety parameters of the product. The laboratory is accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025 and BIS for relevant Indian and International standards. Lighting testing and certification refers to the process of evaluating and verifying the performance, safety and quality of lighting products such as light bulbs, lampscomponents, control gear and luminaires to ensure they meet the regulatory requirements and industry standards. Lighting testing involves a range of tests, including photometric testing, electrical testing, environmental testing, and performance testing to assess various aspects of lighting products such as light output, energy efficiency, color rendering index, flicker, electrical safety, thermal management and durability.
