EV Charger Test & Research Laboratory

  • “EV Charger Test & Research Laboratory” at CPRI, Bengaluru is established for testing and certification purposes.
  • The Laboratory shall be suitable for testing of both AC/ DC electric vehicle (EV) supply equipment (EVSE) or EV Charging station or EV Chargers up to capacity of 22kW(AC) & 50kW(DC).
  • The EVCTR laboratory shall be able to verify the efficiency, output ripples, charging performance, electrical safety performance, EMI EMC, and communication protocols as per the national and international standards covering all charging methodologies viz. CCS, CHAdeMO, GB/T and Bharat chargers.

Major testing standards for EV chargers that can be tested at CPRI, Bengaluru are:

  • IS 17017-1 (IEC 61851-1)
