AMI test bed was established by the division during 2022. This test bed has provisions for mounting both single phase and three phase smart meters on the test benches and to energise the test bench with load.
CPRI is the nodal test agency nominated by MoP for validation of the AMI system of the AMI Service Providers (AMISP) willing to participate in the AMI services under the RDSS programme. CPRI validates the AMI system with RF and cellular systems and based on the recommendations, AMISPs are empanelled for participating in the programme.
