To accelerate the growth of the solar photovoltaic (SPV) industry and support India's ambitious renewable energy targets, the Energy Research and Development (ERED) division is equipped with state-of-the-art SPV testing infrastructure. This advanced facility ensures that SPV modules meet the highest performance and reliability standards, thereby reinforcing trust in solar energy solutions.
Since its establishment in 2016, the laboratory has been providing comprehensive testing services, delivering accurate, reliable results and ensuring customer satisfaction. The facility plays a crucial role in validating the quality and safety of SPV modules by conducting rigorous assessments in accordance with internationally recognized and Indian standards.
The laboratory is equipped to test SPV modules with power ratings of up to 500 Wp, ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements. By facilitating such high-precision testing, ERED contributes significantly to the enhancement of SPV technology and supports the domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
